FILM MAKING

What We Offer

At TravelOffy, we believe your travel starts long before you pack your bags. We make your visa experience:

Location sourcing & scouting

We help you discover stunning, varied locations across India, from urban rooftops to heritage forts and scenic wilderness.

Permissions & clearances

Filming in India involves multiple regulatory steps; we guide you in securing clearances from central ministries, state nodal agencies and local authorities.

Production logistics

From crew accommodation and transport to equipment rental and on-ground coordination, we pull together the infrastructure so you can focus on creativity.

End-to-end support

Whether it’s script approval, crew visa assistance, or on-site liaison, we aim to simplify the shooting process wherever you are in the country.

Key Steps in the Filming Process

1. Define your requirements

Script, location types, number of shoot days, special requirements (e.g. animals, sets, drones).

2. Location scouting & shortlisting

We propose locations, organize recce visits (in person or virtual) and assess logistics, crew access, accommodation and permissions.

3. Permits & approvals

For domestic productions and international crews alike, clearances are required. For example, the India Cine Hub requires submission of a synopsis/script, crew details, location list and equipment inventory.

4. Logistics & production setup

Crew travel and stay, equipment rental, local workforce, transport, catering, accommodation, security, liaison with local authorities and community.

Important Considerations & Tips

  • Apply early: Even when procedures are streamlined, some permissions can take up to 3 weeks or more, particularly for foreign crews or restricted areas.

  • Budget for fees: Permit-processing fees, state location charges, special equipment fees (e.g., drones, animals) may apply.

  • Respect local regulations: When filming in public spaces, heritage sites, or nature reserves, disturbance must be minimised and local rules followed.

  • Document everything: Make sure your agreements, permissions, equipment lists and insurance are full and up-to-date before you roll camera.

FAQ

We support a wide spectrum: feature films, web series, commercial shoots, music videos, documentaries and location recce. Whether you’re local or international, we tailor services to your scale and budget.

Yes — we provide guidance and coordination throughout the permit process. For instance, for international projects filming in India, the India Cine Hub requires script submission, location listings, equipment inventories and crew details. We liaise with state nodal officers, heritage authorities and local officials on your behalf.

As early as possible is best—ideally several months before shooting. Even if a location seems "easy", there may be local restrictions, high-season pricing, accommodation constraints or permit processing delays. For domestic approvals, standard turn-around is up to ~3 weeks, but it may vary.

Absolutely. We can coordinate accommodation, crew transport, equipment rental, local workforce, site-lifecycle management, and wrap-up services such as obtaining final NOCs and handing back sites. Our aim is to let you focus on creative work, while we manage the production nuts and bolts.
